Julie graduated from the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Common Law in 2005, and subsequently obtained a National Accreditation from the Faculty of Civil Law in 2006. She had previously obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology cum laude, also from the University of Ottawa in 2002. Julie was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2007.
She has been with the firm since 2003, where she began as a Law Student and then became an Associate. She is currently on maternity leave and her projected date of return to the firm is July 13, 2010. Her past professional experiences include articling with the law firm of McFarlane Lepsoe, working as Assistant Vice-President of Lexfund, one of the nation’s first third-party litigation funding firms, and working with the National Judicial Institute, where her efforts helped to educate newly appointed members of the Canadian Judiciary.
Her practice areas include Civil Litigation, Family Law, and general advocacy. She has experience arguing before the Ontario Municipal Board and the Superior Court of Justice.
